Information, not advice

The content of this website, including the articles in our Insights section, is provided for general information only. It is not accountancy, tax, legal or financial advice, and it should not be relied on as a substitute for advice specific to your circumstances. Tax rules, thresholds and deadlines change; content that was accurate when written may not reflect the current position. Before acting, or refraining from acting, on anything you read here, seek advice on your own situation.

No client relationship

Using this website, sending an enquiry or attending an initial consultation does not make you a client of YVB Accountancy and does not create any professional engagement. We act for clients only under a signed engagement letter that sets out the scope of the work, the fees and the responsibilities on both sides. Until an engagement letter is in place, we owe you no duty in respect of your affairs.

Accuracy of content

We take reasonable care to keep the content of this site accurate and current, but we make no representations or warranties, express or implied, that it is complete, accurate or up to date, and we may change or remove content at any time without notice.

Use of the site

You may view, download and print pages from this site for your own personal or internal business use. You may not republish our content, reproduce it for commercial purposes, or use this site in any way that is unlawful, that damages or disrupts it, or that attempts to gain unauthorised access to it or to the systems behind it.

Intellectual property

The content of this site, including text, design, logos and images, is owned by or licensed to YVB Accountancy Ltd and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights. The YVB name and logo may not be used without our prior written consent. Third-party badges and marks shown on this site, such as those of professional bodies and software partners, belong to their respective owners.

Links to other websites

Where this site links to other websites, including HMRC, Companies House and software providers, those links are provided for convenience. We have no control over the content of other websites and accept no responsibility for them or for any loss that may arise from using them.

Enquiries through this site

The contact form is for general enquiries. It is not a secure channel for sensitive financial information and should not be used for anything urgent or deadline-critical; nothing you send through it is acted on until we have confirmed receipt with you. Please do not send account numbers, passwords or similar credentials through the form.

Availability

We aim to keep this site available at all times, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may suspend, withdraw or change it without notice.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, this website or its content. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot be excluded or limited under English law. Our responsibilities to clients are governed by the engagement letter for that work, not by these terms.

Privacy and cookies

Our use of personal data is described in our privacy policy, and our use of cookies in our cookie policy. Both form part of how the site operates and are worth reading alongside these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when they were last reviewed, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute relating to them or to this website is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
