YVB Accountancy is an independent Leeds practice, established in 2012. Clients come for a specific job, then tend to stay for years. This page explains why.
From corporate finance teams to a practice of her own
Before founding YVB, Yvonne spent more than two decades in accounting and bookkeeping roles across private companies, public sector organisations and charities, working her way up to management positions in large organisations. She saw the same problem from every angle: owner-managed businesses rarely get financial support that is both properly qualified and genuinely personal.
YVB began in 2012 as a bookkeeping practice serving businesses in Leeds and, before long, across the UK. Qualification with the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers came with the practice licence that still sits behind our work today, and in 2020 the ICB named YVB its Small Practice of the Year at the Luca Awards. In 2024, the practice was named Professional Services Firm of the Year at the Yorkshire Black Business Awards.
As clients grew, so did what they asked of us: year-end work, payroll, VAT, management reporting. The rebrand to YVB Accountancy reflects what the practice already does, one place for the whole finance function, still run by people who know every client by name.

YVB Accountancy works from Oaktree House on Oakwood Lane, a short way north-east of Leeds city centre. Clients are welcome here by appointment, and this is where the day-to-day work happens, for businesses across the UK, with client site visits when they help.
We are open 9:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday.

Where audit or specialist tax advice is needed, we prepare the records their way and liaise directly, which keeps their fees down and your time free.
Qualified, licensed and recognised
YVB is a practice licensed by the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (practice number 21473) and works daily across Xero, Sage and QuickBooks.
