Celebrating 14 years, and a new name
After fourteen years as YVB Bookkeeping Services, we have changed our name to YVB Accountancy. Here is why, and what it means for you.
Why the name changed
Clients kept asking for more than bookkeeping, so that is what the practice became. What began as a bookkeeping practice has grown into a broader accountancy service: one trusted place for the books, the payroll, the returns and the reporting. Year-end accounts, VAT, CIS, management reporting and advisory now sit alongside the bookkeeping that started it all, and the old name had stopped describing the practice people were actually working with.
The company itself is unchanged. YVB Accountancy Ltd is the same company, with the same registration number, the same office at Oaktree House and the same ICB licence. Only the name on the door is new.
What has not changed
- The same people, every time. The person who keeps your records still knows your business, your quirks and your deadlines.
- Deadlines met quietly. VAT, payroll and filing dates still arrive with no drama, because the work behind them was done weeks earlier.
- Plain English, always. We still explain what the numbers mean for the decisions you are facing, not in accounting jargon.
Fourteen years, one recommendation at a time
The practice was built slowly: leaflets handed out on foot around Leeds, then one recommendation leading to the next. Today it is a team of four looking after more than a hundred businesses across the UK, from sole traders to seven-figure companies, charities and law firms. Thank you to every client who has trusted us with their numbers over the last fourteen years, and especially to those who have been with us from the start.
New name, new look, new website
Alongside the name, we have refreshed the brand and rebuilt the website you are reading now. If you are new to YVB, the services pages explain what we do, and our clients' own words explain what it is like to work with us. If you have been with us for years, thank you. The next fourteen will be our best.
